Last weekend

I thought about visiting my family, which is a 3 hours drive but then I changed my mind. Fortunatly I have a company car with paid gas and everything else but I was thinking of those who are paying for their own gas, insurance and all that stuff. You either need to earn big big money or otherwise you simply can not afford it with the gas prices nowadays. With the us dollar at this low level it is inevident to have these high prices.

‘Yesterday I saw a tv-show showing how the banks in the US over loaned all these houses that were not worth shit. And the loans were passed by from one bank to an another. A house that was worth 50.000 dollars got a loan on 150.000 dollars. No wonder the US economy is totally fucked up..

The funniest thing happened when the Tv-guy asked an expert about going after the people that set this loan wave on fire. The expert answered; we do not have enough space in our jails to put these people in there. In other words; it is many people that should be convicted in this case.

The banks were also lending a lot of money for getting the shouse in good shape and also to get some new furniture. But people are now stuck since many of them are already loosing their jobs since the US economy is really bad (Americans can thank Bush for that).

For us Europeans it is all good since the USD is at such low level. Travelling and shopping in the US has never been cheaper! But you know it as well I, what hits US will sooner or later come to us in Europe, so people beware and be prepared.

Weekend yippie

The weekend is here and Im driving home in the next 2 hours. I Dont really know what to do but I have decided that I just want to relax and maybe watch a couple of movies. No clubs and no restaurants.. just being at home. Im so happy that we got CNN and BBC at home. The best thing I know in the weekend is to wake up and turn the CNN on and just hear what is going on in this world. One particular show that I like is “inside africa” and then “inside the middel east” where I usually follow the progress made in that part of the world.. Many exciting things happening and it is really fun to watch..

Armani Jeans, why is it so cheap in the US or in the UAE?

I recently came back from the UAE and a couple of weeks before that I visited New York. While we were out shopping I really paid a lot of attention to the prices of a particular brand, AX Armani Exchange . Especially the Armani Jeans costed somethink like one third of the prices in Europe. I mean you can get some decel Armani Jeans models for approx. 100 us dollar, something that is simply impossible in Europe.

This made me think a lot why this big or lets say huge  difference existed. In the UK the same pair of Armani Jeans will cost at leat 160£. I understand that the VAT in the US is a bit lower and in the same time the UAE has no VAT system, al though it will come I have read it on Arabianbusiness. The government will apply a 5% VAT system and that is a joke I think while in Europe it is 17-25%. The nordic countries such as Sweden and Denmark have a 25% VAT and for that I understand that these Armani Jeans cost the double.

The same thing is with shoes where in the US they dont cost that much. Last time visiting New York i bought some nice converse all star all black for only 35US dollars. As soon as I came back I compred with some online shops and found out that the cheapest Converse all star all black I could find costs 30£. That is the double price my goodness !!!

So people, while visiting other countries try to buy as much things that you would like to have. The dollar is at its lowest level ever and shopping in the US will save you lots of money

Mens leather Jacket in the summer

It is not that hot this summer and I thought about renewing my summer jackets. I have many jackets but nothing like a really good quality leather jacket. I would like to have one that looks old (but is brand new), kind of antique look. I have seen several jackets in shops that are specialised in mens leather jackets but they are all to expensive and when I say expensive they cost something like 1000 £. I thought that It should be cheaper to buy leather jackets and leather gloves in the summer since people are not that into leather wear when it´s hot outside, but I guess I was wrong.

I have found a website selling mostly mens leather jackets but also different leather gloves.

The prices are really reasonable and I have ordered a leather mini skirt for my girlfriend. I did not wanted to buy that mens leather jacket that cost 350£ before testing this website for delivery and quality. I got the leather mini skirt today and It looks really good. I am waiting for m girlfriend to come home so she can see it and tell me if she likes it or not.

Accident this weekend

Well, my girlfriend told me over and over again WATCH IT when you drive but nooo. I had my first accident in something like 10 years. I crossed the traffic light when it was yellow and in the intersection a guy from the left drove and hit us on the side. We barely escaped but I guess it was meant to be. It was a decent guy and we found out very quickliy that we could deal with this in a good way satsifying both.

anyway the whole thing was over and out when I paid for his car repare, something like 200 pounds. I was afraid to get the police involved because if they could proof that I crossed the red light then they would take my drivings license.

after this perfect weekend starting with an accident I decided that the jeans that I wanted to buy in a store should be bought online I didnt want to expose myself for more danger as I strongly believe that this is not my weekend at all.

The best vacation ever, where is that at?

My head is really getting dizzie as I am trying to determine what to do this summer vacation. I guess I could be lik all other people by getting on the first plane to Mallorca. But seriously, how fun is that? When you have a shorter vacation then it is not possible to travel to New York or south east asia.. you are kind of stuck in Europe. It is not that bad but it feels like been there done that …

Before deciding where to travel I need a new bag (trying to get my mind to focus on something else and in the same time keeping it on travel mode. I need a good suit case, nothing to big.. maybe something like this wheeled bag . It is not expensive eather but I think I need a slightly bigger suit case.

Running wild with a bulldozer

What is going on in this guys head, seriously ? Running wild with god damn bulldozer killing and wounding people.. Is that fun? When I read the article I was like what the heck is wrong with this world. Al though it seems a bit crazy doing something like that whithout a strong motive.. another thing that caught my interest is the increasing “threat” that the UAE face, Alarabiya and Aljazeera reporting this of course. Both the british and the americans has adviced their citizens to be more careful. Just imagine what will happen if a bomb blasts of in this safe country. Prices of houses and apartments will obviously drop like a big stone and expect a lot of expats to leave the country within months. It will have a huge impact on the country that has been developing and investing heavily in turism..

I hope that this wont happen to the UAE or other country and god spare us from all the terrorist attacks around the world..

Most of the shopping engines such as kelkoo.com and pricerunner.com focus on the advertisers and how they can suck the most of one and each of them, the customers like me and you and not getting the best presentation of the products. I have found out that the advertisers can actually manipulate the results when search for example “adidas shoes”. By paying more then they can have their ads/products shown in the top of the list although they are not cheapest. People tend to click on the first results not knowing that it is not the cheapest alternative but since it is a comparison shopping engine then people take it for granted that it is the cheapest alternative. I have found a pretty nice website which has a good overview of shoes and is somewhat functioning as a shopping engine displaying directly what you actually searched for.
